What's New In OutlookPhoto?
Use of Z80 8-bit microprocessors is on the rise. As a result of this, an assembler for the Z80 is desirable. It is my hope that this little assembler will be useful to all those who wish to compile for the Z80. ASMz80 is only compatible with Z80 8-bit microprocessors. NOTE: Assembler compiles Z80 assembly language source into a monolithic executable file. NOTE: When outputting Intel HEX files, a program must be compiled as a binary executable. ASMz80 is not able to produce Intel HEX files from a.ASM file. NOTE: At the moment, there is no assembler to generate CPM executables. If you wish to compile for CPM, you must use a C compiler. Limitations: - An assembler is only able to generate a monolithic executable. - A.ASM file can only contain a single assembly file. - Assembly files are not able to contain other files of code. - Assembly files are not able to include comments. - Flags can only be used within assembly files. User interface: - Input/Output options: Intel HEX file or CPM executable - Flags: (Optional): (None) - Assembly code: (Optional) Usage: - You can create a.ASM file by using the.ASM file-creation menu. - You can compile an assembler using the Compile file-creation menu. - You can preview the assembler using the previewer. - To run the assembler: select the assembler from the ASMz80 menu. - To run the assembler in raw mode: select the assembler from the Raw mode menu. Note: - These instructions do not go into great detail as to how the assembler works. They are meant to get the job done. - If you wish to learn more about the assembler, you will need to consult the manual.
